Once the electronics are finished and tested, they are installed in the underbody of the kit. The scanner circuit board installs where the back seats are located and the interior section will cover over it. No electronics or wiring will be visable once the model is fully assembled. The 9V battery is installed into the underside gas tank.
FINAL ASSEMBLY OF THE INTERIOR COMPONENTS
The rims I ended up using are from an radio controlled car. They were available in sets of two from the hobby shop. Using these were far easier than making my own. I notched them in for the replica caps and cut the thickness down a bit. They were a bit larger than the models rims but I made them work as you can see here..........
A few shots of the dash lit up and installed. Sorry for the photo quality, it's hard to get them to show up lit. I'll try and get a few better ones posted in the near future........
FINAL TESTING OF THE SCANNER AND FOG LAMPS
Getting down to the final stages of the build, I have taken a few pictures of the scanner and fog lamps in action. They aren't the best pictures but they will do until I can get some better shots and post them up..............
